PLANTS currently has about 20,000 plant photos in the Image Gallery.  The PLANTS database of images may be searched in a number of ways including:

  • Common Name
  • PLANTS Symbol
  • Family Name
  • Genus Name
  • Nativity
  • Wetland Status
  • Growth Habit
  • Image Type
  • Artist
  • Copyright Status
  • Image Location
  • State Distribution
  • Citation

NPDC is working to greatly expand the gallery to include line images and many new photos. Users are invited to contribute slides and digital images to the NPDC for inclusion in the PLANTS Image Gallery.
