Ecological Site Information System (ESIS)

The Ecological Site Information System (ESIS) is the repository for forestland and rangeland plot data and ecological site descriptions. ESIS is sponsored by the Grazing Lands Technology Institute and the NRCS National Forester. ESIS is organized into two applications and associated databases, the Ecological Site Descriptions and Ecological Site Inventory. The National Plant Data Center helps integrate PLANTS foundation data into ESIS.
